Guardian Word: Delight

If you've read my book you know that I used to work at Starbucks. The manager was a nice lady named Linda, who told me we were allowed to “Surprise and Delight” customers occasionally.

This meant surprising customers by giving them their drink free, or treating them to a free pastry.

The other day my daughter Jenny (who also worked at Starbucks once upon a time) brought me a fresh-juiced drink when I picked her up for a day out.

As she handed it to me she said, “Surprise and Delight!” and we both laughed.

But the word delight has stayed with me.

It's not a word we use often, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's a word filled with juicy, colorful, uplifting energy!

I decided to Google the word and this is what came up: to please someone greatly. That's kind of dry, but listen to the example: the little girls squealed with delight.

Yes! That's what I'm talking about. Focus on that image and feel it for yourself now:

What do you feel in your body? Do any thoughts (of things that delight you) come into your mind as you say the word?

Open yourself now to call in the frequency of delight. Feel it as an energy that's filling you more and more as you repeat the word:
