Guardian Word of the Week: Welcome

When I was born, my family already consisted of a mom, a dad, and two sisters (one 6 years old, and one eight).

Our closet was full of matching little dresses that my Grandma had bought for my sisters—two of each style. Those dresses were symbolic of the fact that there was a complete family in existence before my arrival.

(Side note: I got those dresses as hand-me-downs, and I'd no sooner outgrow one scratchy, uncomfortable dress then I'd be given the identical one in a bigger size! 😆)

My Mom and Dad and the rest of my big extended family were thrilled at my arrival, but my sisters? Not so much!

And I felt that feeling of being unwelcome at a deep level. It made me aware of the value of being welcomed, and the energy of welcoming is something I still treasure today.

Tune into it now for yourself:

I feel it in my heart, but no matter where you feel its energy, continue to repeat the word, and let the energy of Welcome spread out (like a warm hug) throughout your body.
